It’s the perfect year for your development of greater self awareness.
Everyone I talk to has big plans for stepping into a new era of their lives, a new era for themselves. But a lot of us are a little wary of New Years Resolutions.
Because in the past we’ve seen them fail all to often.
I found that knowing myself, in my work, in my life, in my relationships – really knowing my thinking, patterns, motivations, has been the driving factor behind positive change.
Nothing else was needed.
I know why I do things, I understand my internal cause and effect. As a result my disagreeable habits sort of drop away. It’s a powerful practice.
It changed my relationships at work and with my work, it’s giving me greater confidence and allowing me to feel in my power.
It takes a few easy steps, and then commitment to the process.
Step 1:
Become interested in you. Make your happiness the focal point of your life. Get to know what hurts you and what benefits you. Listen to your opinion, your internal dialogue. Notice what stresses you, and what wakes you up at night.
Step 2:
Consider the importance of your wellbeing. How important is it to you? And are your actions in line with your commitment? Who’s keeping you from being the person you want to be?
Step 3:
Your perceived barriers are defined in your thinking. Inquire into the truth of your thinking.

It’s a powerful technique.
Step 4:
Commit to live what you find out about you. I know this sounds kind of hard if you don’t know The Work. As a step after inquiry you’ll find it much easier.
