An Inner Journey for Animal Lovers – Clear Hearing, Clear Seeing, Unconditional Loving

“I can see clearly that I am different from other animals. I just don’t feel proud about that.”

Thich Nhat Hanh

An Animal Lovers Journey

A journey into who you are.

Connecting heart, mind, and spirit through the animals in your life.

Slowing down to touch your inner presence and sweetness of being.

Amplify the experience of unconditional love in a peaceful and shared safe space.

The Love of Animals

You are a human who feels a special bond, a connection, to animals. You have animals living in your house! Maybe you work with animals. Or maybe, you are drawn to interact with or observe animals – domestic and wild.

You feel a deep loving connection with the natural world, maybe even a call to protect, nurture, or heal.

In their unfettered, innocent, authentic, and often wild ways, the animals in your life pierce your heart with love.

“Time spent with cats is never wasted.” Sigmund Freud

“Time spent with cats is never wasted.”

Sigmund Freud

In that opening of the heart, you are more vulnerable to pain. You might feel pain because animals are mistreated, ignored, and left to suffer.

You might feel pain because you can’t help.

Or you might stress because just like children, they simply won’t listen to what you know is best for them!

Clear Seeing and Clear Hearing

In our efforts to protect and nurture, we project our judgments onto others, including animals. These judgments cloud our perception of what is actually going on. In the interest of ‘their best’, we allow ourselves to be blinded and deafened by our assumptions.

This is for you!

In this course, you will remove the conditions and conditioning from your love for animals.

Together, we’ll find clearer ways to relate to the animals in your life.

I’ll guide you to reduce your pain and distress by inquiring into your judgments.

Without judgments to hamper your communication, you’ll be able to engage with other people about animal matters coming from a place of understanding.

Let’s clear your perception to see and hear your loved ones clearly!

“I never realized how much I was in the animals’ business! It’s actually fun to use inquiry on animals.”

An Animal Lover’s Journey of Investigation

I invite you on a journey of investigation into your thinking around animals and the natural world.

This course offers a safe space to question and transform stressful and painful thoughts we hold about animals and people around animals.

What kind of thoughts am I talking about?

I need him to be safe.
  • My dog doesn’t listen to me.
  • I need my cat to stay safe.
  • These people don’t care about their animals.
  • He was abandoned.
  • Polar bears are dying.
  • The injured dove is suffering.
  • Snakes are dangerous.
  • She has to take this medication.
  • He shouldn’t be chained up.

Thoughts like these and thousands like them act like a smoke screen in front of our clear perception. They make us suffer. In suffering, we automatically close our hearts and distance ourselves from the world, its people, and animals. Believing these thoughts closes our hearts to unconditional love.

Once we remove the ‘smoke screen’ we feel a deeper connection to others and to ourselves. We can allow the animals to be fully themselves. We can free them from the weight of having to meet our expectations in order to make us happy.

Setting them free, we set ourselves free.

“I had several Zen Masters. All of them were cats.”

Eckhart Tolle

Our heart soars when it’s able to love unconditionally.

Questioning your thinking has the power to set your heart free of its fetters.

Assumptions and unmet expectations obstruct unconditional love for as long as we believe what we think without question.

On the other side of inquiry, we discover an animal world free to live its own destiny, as authentic, self-directed, and powerful as ourselves, as mature, and as childish, as free, and as dependent, as we are.

“An elephant does not find it’s own trunk heavy.”

Zulu Proverb

Your facilitator

Stef Skupin has facilitated the Work of Byron Katie and other processes since 2012. She has worked with animals in varying capacities since 1991.

When working as a veterinarian in the UK and South Africa, Stef Skupin failed to create a space for her authentic self within her profession. To carve out a fulfilling life for herself she had to ultimately let go of being a practicing veterinarian. Her professional journey working with animals took her through further study into alternative healing methods such as reiki and homeopathy, and all the way to animal communication and facilitation of inner journeys for humans.

Since her childhood years in Germany, Stef struggled to fit into the prescribed norms of successful living. In her 20s, she worked solely to travel the world, go rock climbing, and party. Mindfulness practices such as Yoga, Meditation, and The Work of Byron Katie have guided her independent spirit to self-knowledge and deep spiritual connection. The creation of her own path in life is an ongoing work steeped in courage and awake intuition – and also the unwavering support of her husband and friends!

Stef has found ways to be in love with this undoubtedly often painful but mostly beautiful and awe-inspiring life. Her passion and desire are to share The Work for the joy, deep wisdom, and compassion it brings to those Souls longing for freedom and brave enough to question what their ego identity and societal customs believe to be right.

“The sky isn’t the limit. Mind that creates sky is.”
